Good bye my lover....

Yesterday was my last day in Melbourne sadly, and although I'm grateful to be back in my own bed, I am already missing my little Melbourne life.
Before our departure we had one more little adventure planned, the Melbourne Aquarium! I'd been looking forward to this trip as it would be the first time in my adult life I would ever get to be face to face with penguins! Although the rest of the exhibition doesn't measure up to our Under Water World, experiencing the penguins will be something I will never forget. They're just the most adorable creatures and so full of personality. They are like tiny feathery children, playing tiggy with one another and slidding around on their bellies, one penguin in particular was a total camera hog and he continually posed for his adoring google eyed fans. It was great to see so many kids enjoying the aquarium too and there was plenty to read and learn along the way.
We popped into the casino for a quick bite to eat before heading to the airport.
Flying over the beautiful countryside as the sun set in a majestic pink haze, I flicked through my photo gallery and delighted in all my beautiful memories of Melbourne.
I can't wait to go back, but for now it's back to reality, time to pay bills, get a job and get sewing for the Spring racing season! Xx
