The Golden Globes

As award season kicks off in Hollywood, it seems everyone has their opinion of who enters the hall of shame, and who shines on through as the Belle of the Ball. Browsing through Bazaar's tops and flops, Vogues recall of the starlets, and of course the good old gossip columns faves and fave-nots,  Ive reached my verdict! Here are my five fave ladies of the evening (in no particular order because I really can't choose.) Not to mention my dishonorable ladies of the night, you would think with a personal stylist and designer by your side you couldn't possibly get it wrong, and yet, every award ceremony there are always those who manage to stray off the stylish list into the woods of awkward, bizarre or just distasteful dress, so who made my cut?

Firstly, my favourites...
Nicole Kidman in Versace, this is so perfect for her, right colour, right silhouette, she is picture perfect! All images courtesy of Getty Images.

Glee star Diana Agron in a Couture Giles Deacon gown made my heart flutter!

Kate Winslet was perfect as always, I don't think she can get it wrong in this Jenny Packham gown.

Salma Hayek got everything right here, perfect dress, accessories and hair! Loving her in this Gucci gown.

Last of all, one of my red carpet favourites, Charlize Theron in an amazing Dior Gown. This is so different and daring but tasteful and graceful all in one gorgeous bundle of soft peach, simply put, this dress is what love looks like.

And now for the not so coveted style awards!
Award for the most "inappropriate for their age" dress, and its a shame really because she has so much potential, if only she would stop picking dresses suited best to a high school formal.
Tina Fey in this fuchsia Osca De La Renta gown, the dress itself is so stunning but the colour and fluffy fishtail is all wrong for Fey! Coupled with the confusing sort of up sort of down hair...sack your stylist!

The award for "worst fabric ever used to create a garment" goes to Michelle Williams gown, what on earth compelled Jason Wu to make a blue velvet animal print gown?

The "almost fabulous but turned out to be awful" award goes to Kelly Osbourne for her Zac Posen number. Had this have been cut just above the knee and worn to an MTV awards show, it would have been right up Osbournes ally! But the long fishtail skirt folds clumsily under her tiny feet, making her look like shes been swallowed by a giant Blues Clues dog.

The "wrong colour for the carpet" award goes to anyone who wore green...Zooey Deschanel, Madonna (especially), Laura Dern and Rachel Even Wood, I'm looking at you...

And last of all the "please feed her a cheeseburger" award goes to....
Angelina Jolie! Please eat Ange, your so beautiful but I much preferred your Tomb Raider body, than your skeletal figure of present. Brad, for the love of all things Jolie, feed her!
P.S. Love the Atelier Versace gown in red hot white with a flash of ruby! Perfectly accessorised with the red bag and white pumps, but all the same, food is your friend!

Who was your favourite on the red carpet this year? I can't wait for the awards season to come into full swing! Lets hope we see a little more colour and a little less skin (Emma Wasson, I'm talking to you) as the season continues.
